Woods House is a rather special place to stay in the heart of Bishopsteignton, combining contemporary architectural design with beautiful views across the River Teign, the Teign Valley and the surrounding countryside. Tucked away in a peaceful setting just moments from the village centre, this impressive home offers generous living spaces, a wonderful balcony and a beautifully planted garden, making it ideal for families or friends looking for a relaxing Devon escape.

The heart of the house is the spacious open-plan living area on the upper floor, where full-length glazed doors open onto a generous balcony overlooking the valley and towards the nearby vineyard. There’s plenty of room to relax together on the large L-shaped sofa, with additional seating, a Sonos sound system and a log burner creating a welcoming space whatever the season. The dining table comfortably seats six, while the balcony provides the perfect setting for morning coffee, alfresco dining or an evening drink, with outdoor furniture, a barbecue and a swing chair to enjoy during the warmer months.

The stylish, well-equipped kitchen is designed for easy holiday living, with an induction hob, two built-in ovens, a microwave, a dishwasher and a large fridge freezer. A spacious central island provides additional preparation space, storage and a sink, making it a lovely place to cook and gather together.

The house offers three comfortable bedrooms, thoughtfully arranged to provide space and privacy. The master bedroom features a king-size bed, an ensuite bathroom with a bath, WC and basin, French doors opening onto the balcony decking. Enjoy peaceful pastoral views across the river and valley, with a swing chair outside providing a lovely spot to sit and take in the surroundings.

On the ground floor, bedroom two has a double bed, useful drawer storage and a desk, with French doors opening onto the garden area. It also benefits from access to a Jack-and-Jill bathroom with a spacious walk-in double shower.

Bedroom three has a king-size bed, a large TV, a comfortable chair and French doors leading to the garden. There is also a separate study room with a desk, making Woods House an excellent choice for anyone who needs a dedicated space to work while away. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

A family bathroom with WC and basin, together with an additional cloakroom, provides extra convenience for larger groups. The entrance porch has hooks and handy storage for shoes and boots, while a separate utility room includes a washing machine, making longer stays particularly comfortable.

Outside, the beautifully landscaped garden features established plants and shrubs, a raised patio and outdoor table and chairs. Catch the evening sun while enjoying views towards the River Teign and the hills beyond, or settle in for a relaxed meal outdoors after a day exploring the South Devon coast.

There is private parking for at least three cars, accessed via Garage Lane from Fore Street. Please note that the entrance to Garage Lane is narrow, measuring approximately 2 metres at its tightest point. An electric vehicle charging point is available.
