Gull Cottage is a perfect bolt hole for a peaceful holiday in the beautiful seaside village of Shaldon, at the mouth of the River Teign in South Devon. The has been recently updated and has gas central heating for the cooler periods.

The accommodation comprises 2 double bedrooms; one on the 1^st and the other on the 2nd floor. A cloakroom with WC and basin on the first floor. Access to an enclosed terrace. Ground floor: Open plan living/dining area. The fully fitted kitchen has an electric oven/hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, washing machine and full-height fridge/ freezer. The bathroom has a WC, basin, bath and a separate shower cubicle.
The location is ideal and only a 2-minute walk from the village centre with its amenities (3 pubs/restaurants, several cafés serving excellent coffee, a village shop, pharmacy, post office and various gift shops). The River Teign estuary is 3 minute’s walk and Shaldon Beach is 5 minutes from the cottage.
Shaldon is a beautiful, peaceful place, ideal for a coastal getaway. There are lovely walks right from your doorstep either along the riverside where you will encounter many different bird species and enjoy beautiful views towards Dartmoor, or head out along the famous South West Coast path to take in some of the most breathtaking scenery along the South Coast. In addition, the hills behind the village offer many peaceful countryside walks with some stunning views.
As well as walking, Shaldon offers visitors the opportunity to try various water sports such as sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding and excellent fishing. There is also a charming local zoo within a 10-minute walk with many rare species from around the world as well as a 9-hole golf course with spectacular views.
Teignmouth, on the opposite side of the estuary, is home to Devon Sea Safari who offer daily coastal boat trips to view the stunning wildlife this area has to offer, including dolphins, seals and marine birds. There are also boat, kayak and paddleboard rental facilities and a good selection of pubs and shops. The oldest passenger ferry in Britain operates regularly from Shaldon Beach to Teignmouth Back Beach and is an ideal way to take in some lovely views.
