The Old Chapel, Shaldon, South Devon
Escape to a picturesque seaside retreat in the heart of Shaldon, a charming village nestled at the mouth of the River Teign. The Old Chapel has been tastefully modernised, blending bespoke luxury with the character of its original features. This beautifully converted chapel is perfect for a cosy and comfortable getaway for two.
The living and dining area is bright and welcoming, thanks to a large chapel window and two side windows that fill the space with natural light. Relax in the cosy living area with a comfortable sofa bed, Freeview TV, and light oak breakfast bar with seating for four.
Fully equipped for your self-catering needs, the kitchen features double-eye-level electric ovens, a NEFF induction hob, a full-height fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, and a washer/dryer—everything you need for a stress-free stay.
Modern and stylish with a walk-in shower, toilet, and heated towel rail, providing a touch of luxury to your daily routine.
Accessed via a stylish staircase, the mezzanine bedroom features a double bed, bedside drawers, and a Velux window. The charming sloping ceiling adds character but has restricted headroom, making it a cosy, intimate space.

A relaxing break in one of our favourite places Shaldon. The Old Chapel is comfortable, cosy, clean and quirky. Would definitely recommend.
A lovely little place, clean and easy to access on arrival. Close to the beach. I can’t wait to come back.
My 4th stay in this cute cottage Ideal location
Excellent accommodation cannot fault it. Breath in when accessing the parking space.😉😎
the house is excellent. Excellent location and quiet and calm but there were some problems with the heating, but they were sorted quickly. I would recommend.
Great place in the heart of Shaldon. Great use of space and well-thought-out layout. Excellent communication from Stacey and Anthonyfor check-in and check-out. The Chapel is within walking distance of shops and restaurants in Shaldon. There is parking right outside but the access is extremely narrow so not suitable for a larger vehicle. We just parked elsewhere in Shaldon which was fine! We would return!
Great location for walking the South Coast path using buses. Enter School Lane from the bridge end. Albion Road end is even narrower. Comfortable space with restricted headroom in the bedroom. Very quiet area with limited options to eat out locally when I was visiting.
A lovely village, that had everything you need and easy to get the little ferry across to the town. Beautiful beaches and friendly residents. Definitely need a small car and be confident driving for this accommodation but well presented. We would happily stay here again
Great place, lovely location
Great location to visit Shaldon and the surrounding area. A quirky chapel conversion... lovely!
