Spacious homely family house

Just perfect for 2 couples ,2, teenage girls , one Granny and dog! Granny with mobility issues so little bedroom down stairs with en suite perfect Thoughtfully well equipped, particularly in kitchen , coffee machine, food processor, We make home made scones to go with Devon clotted cream! Cottage in good position , very close to beach, Clipper Cafe and chip shop. Also noticed fans in each room for v ery hot weather We hope to come again

A lovely place to stay

We had a wonderful stay in Merchant House. It is a spacious and well equipped house, well located in the centre of Shaldon. The sitting room is large and light, a nice place to sit. The kitchen is well equipped with all the utensils and pans you need. The bedrooms are spacious and it has three bathrooms, which is great for a large family. We will be back again next year.

Merchant House

We've loved staying in this cottage. The location is perfect. The little courtyard garden is just right for an early morning cuppa or an evening watching the stars, as well as being great for storing beach gear. Every space has been utilised. We had a small problem with the washing machine and Anthony was so helpful as always. It was sorted very quickly. We cannot wait for next August as we have already booked Peartree cottage! Once again, Cottages south west have done us proud.
